After 5 months, will not go back. Not in touch with her client's needs. Wasted my time. Works at too many places which makes her scattered.

I was referred to Dr. Mayer-Oakes by a friend who really believed in her for assisting with hormones. In need of help myself, I booked an appointment online in October for December only being able to secure a virtual appointment. And I called to confirm I was also on the cancellation list as well. Late October I received a text that an appointment was available and I had 2 hours to reply. I hurriedly called my client and moved my work schedule around to accommodate this opening. I replied well within the window only to find out the appointment was taken. Now today, Nov 21, I received a call that I cannot do an initial appointment virtually. Understandable, however 1) why was I allowed to make this appointment through the system initially and 2) why did someone not call me way sooner as now her next available isn't until May 2025? I suffer from ulcerative colitis and am clearly entering perimenopause as well exacerbating my pain. I was looking forward to her insight and assistance… on helping me navigate my hormones but not I'm horrified by this experience and find I have no other choice than to go to a doctor out of network and have to pay out of pocket.

New to her. She is research and stat-driven, which is good up to a point. Ultimately, each patient is unique in their reactions to events, how those events have altered their health trajectory and attitudes and what regimens will/won't work. A partnership is for me the best way to approach my health goals, whatever they may be. Thorough, caring, committed. Must give her a chance...
