Dr. Allison P. Niemi, MD

I have never felt rushed. She answers all my questions and my concerns are always address without judgement. She makes me feel very comfortable.

While I only had one visit, it was one visit too many. I did not receive any therapeutic treatment from Dr Niemi. She Is not my normal primary care, but I have been struggling with PMDD for almost a year and the female NP I was seeing left the clinic and I felt the need to continue with a female. I have made life style changes, including exercise/yoga, eating healthy, seeing a therapist, multiple doctors appts including GYN, med changes and still my symptoms return every month. The symptoms I experience are severe and intrude on my daily life, especially work because of all the stimuli. While PMDD is not a mood disorder, as the fluctuation of hormones are what cause the symptoms, the psychological pain is overwhelming. This doctor was completely heartless and was more concerned that my medical history was blank on the computer. The fact that it was blank had nothing to do with me, as I had been going to this clinic since I was a child. She disregarded my feelings as a person and… treated me as someone that was trying to use the the system. I have been at my place of employment for 20 years and have never requested FMLA until today. She rudely said “sorry to disappoint you. Maybe Dr King will fill them out for you” this after she said have my GYN fill them out or my therapist. She never once asked about my symptoms and how they affect my daily life. I understand that I am not her patient, but there is a level of compassion she should show any person she sees. You should not leave the doctors office feeling worse than when you arrived and in complete aw of how you were treated. There is nothing more difficult than dealing with the anxiety and depression every month, but to have a professional treat you as if you don’t matter takes it to a whole new level.

I could not ask for more in my primary care physician.
