Dr. Allison Tami Shigezawa, MD

My daughter just turned 19 this past weekend and I visited Dr. Shigezawa for the first time while pregnant. She was an excellent physician back then, and still excellent now. She's caring, dedicated, and extremely knowledgeable. She took excellent care of me in the hospital through the birth of my daughter, then later in life through a partial hysterectomy and check-ups. I'm very pleased to have my daughter also seeing Dr. Shigezawa for her medical care.

Allison Shigezawa is a butcher. It is because of her cruelty that I cannot have children now. The kind of cruelty that horror movies are made of and given me nightmares for years. Cruel words, cruel actions, along with permanent damage to my body. Even her own staff nurses though she was being cruel to me. They asked for her compassion. She refused.

If you are looking for a patient/understanding dr- she may not be for you!

Have been a patient for over 20 years and she delivered all 3 of my children I absolutely LOVE my doctor!! Staff is very nice and friendly. She takes the time to listen to my concerns. Have recommended her to all my friends and now they are long time patients of hers!

Been going to Dr. Shigezawa since moving back to Hawaii in 2001. I actually tried to get in to see her partner, Dr. Melanie Lau (refered by my cousin), but Dr. Lau was booked.I was not diappointed when I went in to see Dr. Shigezawa instead. I saw pictures on the wall of my friends and their babies! Turns out quite a number of my friends see her too!She even delivered my cousin's baby when Dr. Lau was out of town!She delivered my first daughter by C-Section (breech) and my surgery went so well, recovery was very quick.She is encouraging VBAC for my second (coming any day now) and I am excited to have that opportunity, as some OBs insist on another C-Section.I completely trust her to deliver my babies, which says a lot!!

I went to Allison Shigezawa because she was my friend's obgyn. As my friend put it she is a no nonsense obgyn. She is direct and to the point but I didn't ever feel rushed or that she did not address any of my concerns. She runs a very efficient office. The wait times are pretty good for a doctor and her office staff is excellent.

...been w/ dr s since she delivered my child almost 12 yrs ago. have now had a hysterectomy w/ her and she's been wonderful! i've recommended her to 3 friedz and all have had positive visits w/ her and she delivered one of their babies 6 yrs ago. her office staff has gotten better at communicating w/ the patients. i will definitely be keeping her as my doc and i will continue to refer my friendz to her! :)

Been With Dr. Shigezawa since I was 15. She delivered both of my children. And I would trust her with anything. She is kind and caring. And ALWAYS puts her patients needs as top priority!!

Horrible. Feels as if she's rushing everytime I see her. Very non-responsive, non-communicative. When voicing my concerns, I always have a feeling she's giving me the brush off. Always, one worded responses.
