Dr. Allison Sue Thomas, MD

I have been going to Dr. Thomas for at least 15 yrs now and every single time I go, she is soooo compassionate and actually listens to me.

I was referred to Dr. Thomas by my Spine specialist. She made me feel like she has known me for years in the first visit. I feel like she was such a blessing to me, I had been struggling with a few personal matters that had been weighing very heavily on how I live my life, she immediately identified with my struggle and identified a treatment plan that I could start to improve my quality of life.. so far so good and she REALLY CARES, She even gave me a hug.. and who doesn’t want that kind of heart in their primary care Doctor... She’s AMAZING... if your reading this and have the opportunity to consider her as your primary care Doctor, you will NOT be disappointed. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. Thomas ??

She does not arrive in the office for at least 1 hour after her first appointment is scheduled. Appointment at 7:30 a.m., she arrives in the office at 9:10. My time is valuable too! Had this happen 3 times so took a 1 p.m. appointment. Waited until 1:40 while she ate her lunch. Obviously she feels her time is more valuable than mine! Will not go back.

I have had several occasions where the office staff was to follow up on something (schedule an appointment for therapy, tests, another doctor) and never did. I have to constantly call them to find out what's going on.

Almost impossible to schedule an appointment if you can't call before 5pm, no voicemail or response to online appointment requests.

Dr. Thomas treated me like a patient as opposed to a drug addict. For two years I had gone to countless doctors with complaints of extreme pain in my left knee and they dismissed me as a pill seeker despite only being prescribed pain medication maybe three times in my life. Dr. Thomas did a physical examination of my knee and sent me for an MRI where it revealed I had a 15cm tear in my miniscis tendon and my knee cap was conical shaped so I was shearing off my fat pad with each step causing my extreme pain. From the time of my appointment until my major surgery was a month. It was nice to be validated and treated like a patient as opposed to a drug addict. She really cares for her patients, at least in my experience.

The best Doctor I have ever been to! She actually cares about you.

If you don't buy her shakes or other things she offers she has no time for you. The wait is horrendous, her nurse is rude, the staff is rude and she's always over booked with her diet patients. You wait 45 min in the lobby & then another 1/2 hr or more in the room. She pushes sleep studies on everyone she meets. Has not gotten to the root of my heatlh issues yet in several years. Not many decent doctors in Battle Creek.
