Dr. Allison Minerva Ventura, MD

On three occasions I visited, as a walk-in, the Peachtree Immediate Care Clinic (Emory affiliation) located on Crossville Road in Roswell Georgia. I was misdiagnosed, required to have unwarranted and misguided lab tests, and the issues for which I visited were never addressed. The doctor there was and apparently still is Allison Ventura. The staff was combative. I filed a complaint to the Ga. Composite Med Board and U.S. DHHS. The CEO, Bill Miller, did nothing. However, Dr. Daniel Ralston, liaison, emailed “I am confirming that I will be meeting next week with Dr. Ventura to discuss the case and further training in interpersonal interview skills will be provided to her.” He emailed again, “I have met with Dr. Ventura and given her feedback and training as we discussed . . . You are welcome to visit any of our clinics for your medical needs. . . Dr. Daniel Ralston, Regional Medical Director, Peachtree Immediate Care.” Unfortunately, Mr. Miller cancelled Dr. Ralston’s commitment to… permit me to continue to go to the clinic had I chosen to [apparent retaliation] nor did he require Ventura to apologize for her wrongdoing.

I went to this doctor on at least two occasions. Each time there was seemingly a gross misdiagnosis of symptoms I was having and for which I went to her expecting treatment. On my first visit, I was experiencing some ear discomfort and she thought she discovered some spider parts which turned out to be erroneous but which led her to irrigate my ear and severely disrupt my equilibrium, not once but twice. Turned out to be excessive ear wax. On another occasion she had lab tests drawn for various infectious diseases, as she characterized them, whereby all the test results came back negative and she subsequently diagnosed me with a simple UTI, prescribing an antibiotic, but that too turning out not to be true, my only problem being a senior citizen, with type 2 diabetes and common symptoms, e.g. urinary frequency, urgency, and some incontinence. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone, but this is just my layman's opinion predicated on my personal and adverse experience.

Ease of appointment- just walk in. Great staff, great doctor, beautiful & clean!

Very unprofessional and should be charged with patient neglect and insurance fraud. She orders lab tests and only follows up if you call and come in and pay for another appointment even if the results are normal. She basically charges insurance for 2 visits for one procedure. No other physician does this. She was assigned as our primary care manager and flat out told us she does not want to be a primary care Dr, only urgent care. She told us it was our problem no other physicians are listen on our plan and that she didn't care. Do not go to this physician. She doesn't care about her patients, only about the money she can collect in a day.
