Allyssa C Bohanan

Allyssa Bohanan is a native to Arizona and one of the newest additions to Nova Spine Institute. Her nursing career began over 20 years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her love and passion for helping others led her to pursue the career in nursing. Her patients know her for her sense of humor and ability to offer hope, empathy and healing. Her greatest joy is to celebrate the relief of suffering. After earning a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Northern Arizona University, she enjoyed ten years of working in various settings as a Registered Nurse. Some of those settings include urology, telemetry, neurology, OR, PACU, endoscopy, home and outpatient infusion, ER, and Case management. Allyssa’s needs for more knowledge drove her to purse and obtain a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Arizona State University in 2009. She is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and began her practice in the pain management field three years ago. Allyssa is not only very knowledgeable in chronic …spine pain issue, but she is well versed and experienced in knee and trigger point injections. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, working out, reading and spending time with her husband and three kids- Lailah, Kade and Jamesun.
