Dr. Alok Sahay, MD

I saw Dr. Sahay for diagnosis opinion. I tried to explain that I walk cautiously due to degenerative back disease. After his assessment he looked at me and said you have Parkinson's. He ordered DatScan to diffrentiate. Then he said he would not be following me but said a NP would follow. I felt he did not listen when I tried to explain why I walk slowly, because my back was hurting and I was having Physical Therapy for back issues. He put bradykinesia and rigidity on my note. I felt very upset because he did not comment or say anything about the walking. I can walk and swing my arms after the therapy I was having. I was very unhappy with this visit and decided not to go back. I cancelled follow up tests and NP visit. I expect a physician to listen to the patient. I have since found a wonderful physician who listens, and after her exam said she was 99 % sure I had Essential Tremors and also ordered the DatScan. I took the scan and it did show normal, essential tremors. Medicine… she gave me has helped reduce the tremors. There are 6 people in my family that have ET also.

Dr.Sahay is a very knowledgeable, friendly and caring physician. He has all the qualities you want in a physician. We highly recommend him, as he truly listens to the patients with a caring attitude.
