Dr. Alon Kahana, MD

Dr Kahanna is to me one of the best surgeons I have ever met. I knew the first time I met him almost a year ago for Grave's eye disease that he was the one I wanted to help fix my eye. His bedside manner was great and he has explained everything to me in great detail. I had no hope until I met him. I'm from Kentucky and I would drive it again to see him and to let him operate on me.

He come across very charming and appears to know what he is doing, so I trusted him. He operated on my eyelid. However later I was having sever pain, which is affecting my sleep, from the scars he left me with under the eyelid. He pulled my eyelid to tight sideway causing my eye lashes to grow inward (inverted inward) this also causes me severe pain all the time. I consulted other doctors and they told there is no solution for my condition. I have to live it and suffer for the rest of my life. I paid a lot of money besides my insurance

We received excellent care for our daughter with Dr.Kahana. He answered all of our questions and made himself available for any concerns that may come up. Highly recommend!

If you're seeing him for graves disease you're likely in good hands as that is his specialty. If you're seeing him for anything else, especially an orbital tumor or reconstruction, find someone else. Seriously. If I list the reasons why he'll likely know who I am as my case is very particular and all doctors check their reviews. Just know that if you're not financially well off he won't hesitate to put his career ahead of your health and well being because you're a nobody to him. He comes off as very charming and likable at first. If you have one of the more common routine surgeries, your experience might not be like mine. Trust that my experience with him is far worse than this comment suggests. Find someone else. If they take your insurance, go to the UofM Kellogg Eye Center.

Dr. Kahana is awesome. He gave my complex situation the time and attention it needed. When he says he treats patients with the same care and attention that he would give his family, he truly means it.

Dr. Kahana was highly recommend from my Doctor at the CEI. I traveled from Cincinnati, Ohio to get a second opinion. My appointment was at 2:15 PM, I didn't leave until 6:30. Due to the fact they were over booked that day :( However they weer very through with 2 hours of testing that I wasn't expecting. Dr. Kahana answered all my questions and questions that my sister had. He apologized for running behind. The trip to see him was well worth it and I'd go back if need be!

Thought he was a real jerk. Didn't address my issues and denied anything was wrong with me. Disappointing. I watched his videos on You tube and was hopeful he would help me

I feel he made unnecessary incisions and left me permanently disfigured! This after an unnecessary surgery to remove a skin cancer near my eye, that had already been removed completely prior, it was just in case and had me scared to death.

Best Dr ever! Never met someone as kind and willing to spend time on my daughter and her issue.

Dr. Kahana exceeded all my expectations for a doctor and surgeon. His bedside manner with our baby was fantastic and he called us on our cell phase a few days after the surgery to check on us. He even communicates via text/email promptly if any issues come up! Surgery went great and we are having a speedy recovery.
