Dr. Alpa Vaghasiya Modi, DO

Despite many negative reviews online and by word-of-mouth, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Modi’s for the better part of a decade. I liked her until recently. For the first time under her care, I missed the step of getting bloodwork taken, so in preparation for my next appointment I had contacted her office through the portal to request that I get bloodwork prior to my visit. Her nurse denied the request and so I asked if I could SPEAK with someone about this. Instead, Dr. Modi responded to me on the portal asking a question to which I then provided an answer. She responded again, shaming me for missing a bloodwork test - using the phrase that I’m “inappropriate” for reaching out and forcing her to spend the time looking at my chart. Shaming a patient violates professional standards, which mandate respectful communication, patient collaboration, and therefore fostering and caring for the therapeutic relationship and patient safety. I will be leaving her care immediately.

Truly wretched. Does not make eye contact. Bangs away at the keyboard as you speak as if to let you know she's bored. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to her.

Dr. Modi is very professional and I never felt comfortable with other doctors as I feel very comfortable with her. She cares about her patients

I saw her s long time ago and it still upsets me. She treated me like a child. Very condescending. She was very cold so I didn't feel comfortable with her as my Dr.. very bad bedside manner. Very snobby.

wonderful care for my mother takes her time always there for her returns calls promptly
