Dr. Alpha Teresa Banks, MD

My initial consultation with Dr. Banks went well. I thought that by supporting an African American, female doctor; that I hit the jackpot. I followed the instructions of Dr. Banks, had the recommended sonogram, and called back three weeks later for the results. Low and behold, I am still awaiting a follow-up call from Dr. Banks to get my results. To add insult to injury, I was informed that I should have made another appointment for my test results. After leaving a second message for a follow-up call from Dr. Banks, and not receiving a call; I called again!!!!! This time the answering service picked-up and in formed me that they had to ascertain if I could leave a message for an appointment. I decided that because I was told (On 1.17.2023), that I should have made an appointment to get my test results; which I thought was part of my consultation (As I had not been told otherwise), I would schedule an appointment to speak with Dr. Banks to get my test results. I have no problem… paying a second co-payment to get my results, and/or Dr. Banks receiving renumeration for giving me my results. However, I have a problem with Dr. Bank's failure to even reach out to address my concerns.

Dr. banks needs to take a class on Time Management and how to use her and other folks time wisely. Need to know that her setting up doctor appointments for her patients in 15 minute increments is not working. She needs to set appointments on the hour or 1 hour 15 minutes being considerate of her patients time and the fact that they may have to pick up someone at a scheduled time and won’t be able if they get stuck in her office when they have a scheduled appointment and/or they have had someone to take time away from their job to bring them for a procedure And they can’t give the other party that they need to a time to be expected because Dr. Banks doesn’t care that she has appointments lapping over because she wants the money and cares nothing about time management and respecting her patients time.

Dr knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. Helpful and caring by my side

Dr Alpha Banks is an amazing doctor, but for each of my two visits I waited at least an hour and 15 minutes for my name to be called. This is probably due to the overpopulation of the the area and how many patients she has. If you have a specific schedule, and cannot sit around and wait for your time to be wasted, do not come here

Extremely knowledgeably; shows interest and concern while treating you. I have complete trust in Dr. Banks. My only complaint is that office wait times are long.

I have been Dr. Banks' patient since 2008 and she is, hands down, one of the best doctors I have had in my life. I am almost 35 years old and her accurate diagnosis of my condition saved my life. I am a medical miracle, and while I believe God had a lot to do with my healing, I know that Dr. Banks' diligence and devotion to me as her patient made all of the difference in the world. Visit her immediately if you want a doctor who will work for you and will do all in her power to make sure you become healthy.

I love Dr. Banks she's has a great bed side manners, she walks you through your diagnoses, makes you feel less afraid and more confident. 10 star where are you!

front office was badly-organized WRT appointment times, but the doctor has a good "bedside manner" - very reassuring for a first-time patient.

Dr. Banks was very professional and willing to help in diagnosing me. Like the way she explain everything. Staff was not helpful at time of scheduling appointment. Per staff I would have to wait 1 1/2 month for an emergency appointment.
