Made apt back in Oct. Verified insurance myself because staff doesn't verify until your visit. Waited a month to see him. Wait time exceeds 2 hours, which I'm fine with. They call day before to change my apt time. Fine with that too. I drove an hour and get told he does not take my insurance. I call my insurance in front of the staff. Insurance states they have a contract with him and he has to see me. They ask me to wait 2 hours to clarify with doctor and does not guarantee he will see me. As I sit and wait, which I decided to pay out of pocket and chase insurance to reimburse, the patients exiting express to everyone that he is closing his practice. Why in the world, would you schedule a new patient and ask them to wait if you're closing your practice?! Unprofessional and waste of precious time. I couldn't wrap my brain around this one.
