Dr. Alvaro Montoya, MD

While visiting Florida 7 years ago, I took ill from a staph infection that ultimately destroyed my aortic valve requiring emergency surgical replacement. I was later told I had an 8%-10% chance of surviving. I was also told I would have the best in Dr. Montoya. 7 years later and age 61, I’m very much alive, running 3-5 miles a day. Every cardiologist that has followed up my annual check-ups has remarked what a great surgeon I had to do the surgery following their exam and testing! His skill and kindness are amazing! He has been a gift from God to me. I live in PA, but if I ever need follow up, I want to return to Florida for his care. I cannot recommend him highly enough to everyone!
