Dr. Alvaro Jose Olivares, MD

Unethical, unprofessional is only the start of this psychiatrist review. He does not follow patients wishes regarding treatment, eg ECT. Know what you are getting into and research ECT. He is deceiving and while acting like he cares what he is doing. ECT treatment was horrific and the nurses and support staff were just as unprofessional. No stars would be appropriate for this man. Psychiatrists deal with the most fragile population and he added to the trauma of my loved one. Get your records and read them. They are now free of charge.

I have a particularly severe and rare form of Bipolar 1, so severe that it has rendered me disabled. Dr. O truly CARES about each patient, exudes compassion and truly wants to help. ECT treatment with him has changed my life and if you have a psych issue and feel youre not making improvement, I implore you to visit Dr. O.

Very kind and compassionate. Dr. Olivares and the outpatient staff at Butler Hospital have given me hope. Medications (too many to remember) over years of trying did very little to relieve my severe depression. ECT sessions with Dr. Olivares have provided much more relief than I've experienced via any other means.
