Dr. Alvaro E Rolong, MD

I was pressured and coerced by this doctor to have an epidural for my surgery instead of general anesthesia that I originally had chosen and signed to have. The nurse who gave me these papers to sign warned me that Rolong would try to make me change my mind. When the moment came to get prepped for surgery, I was very nervous. I am a young adult on the spectrum and I choose to have my family with me to help me stay calm and make sure I think my decisions through. He looked at the paper and what I signed for and this whole moment happened and he got "factual" & pretty snappy with my family who were only concerned for me since I said up and down that I wanted to be put to sleep. He's already a rude doctor. I understand being up front and wanting the job done, being proud of your work etc. But In my opinion he severely lacked compassion/empathy. So before surgery, just being his patient was extremely uncomfortable enough for me. But with my insurance I had no other option. Since my… surgery, I have begun to have nerve issues, one of the many reasons why I chose to turn it down. Aside from that, they were also extremely bad in the office. My husband had to resign from his wonderful job because the office would NOT do their part on the paperwork that was needed for him to get back to work from family medical leave. Great work with the surgery, I suppose, I've physically healed now. But mentally I am still a little disturbed by the entire experience.

Really I shouldn’t even give this doctor any stars he was just So rude when I 1st met him. And I mean yes he did my surgery but I really wanted to refuse him. Really wish I spoke up! And my paper work!!? I’m call my people on my end wondering why I haven’t gotten my clam. And comes to find out that the doctor has not yet done his part! Ridiculous!

I'v had 2 surgeries by Dr. Rolong and he is wonderful. Very caring and compassionate. I recommend him to everyone I know.
