Dr. Alvin Ted Hershfeld, DO

This doctor needs to retire. He has outbursts of uncontrollable hostility, doesn't let you finish talking and assumed I am a junky because I take Ativan for my anxiety disorder and Celexa for depression. I have never been verbally abused by anyone, let alone a doctor in this way.

my mom complained about back pain for over two years. never ordered sono, mri, etc... two years he said take Advil its arthritis. ends up she had tumor in liver and kidney. passed away now because it was to late cancer had spread. had he diagnosed two years earlier she would have had a chance!

Dr H is an amazing diagnostician. Highly competent, empathetic and kind. Yes...sometimes there is a wait, but when you are called in you never feel rushed with him. He listens and takes his time with eaxh patient. Ive been his patient for 15 years and have never had a bad experience.

Dr. Hershfeld is an excellent physician and diagnostician. He spends time with the patients, listens to everything they say and has their health history in front of him on the computer. Excellent bedside manner, really cares about the patients. If you call the emergency number, he is the one who picks up. I would recommend him to anyone.

Even with an appointment, I waited over an hour. Once in the nurse got upset because I told her I was there for my yearly check up but the person who took the appointment did not mention this. Apparently, sick and well appointments are very important to know. Not sure. The women at the reception area were very rude, they give orders, are not very approachable. Dr. Hershfield came in with a smile. He asked all the right question, answered all the ones I had, put my fears at ease, made some excellent recommendations on how to better my health. He really needs to fire his staff. And keep the one nurse who performed all my tests.

Dr Hershfeld seemed nice although I wouldn't be able to really say because after waiting 3 hours to see him, our consultation lasted only 5 minutes. Yes, 5 minutes! The front desk staff is absolutely miserable, very unaccommodating and unfriendly. They don't acknowledge any patients when they arrive or have questions. They continue on about there business as if you are invisible; eating, texting and even gossiping. Mind you, these are older women. A woman ahead of me was waiting for 4 hours! Since there was no other doctor available on a Sunday, she just looked at me and said "what can i do? I feel sick and now even worse." These front desk women treated even an elderly woman as if she was there to bother them. All the people in that awful office were looking at them with distaste and anger. They are rude, unhelpful and talk to you as if you are bothering them. I will never go back to that office nor recommend that anyone else go. I went once and I had enough. They should all be fired.… Find someone else to take care of your medical needs, that I do recommend.

Stay away, the staff is rude and the doctor is a quack! The worst experience I've ever had with a doctor, but I guess what do you expect with a walk in doctor. Very creepy experience overall.
