Dr Alvin Marcovici

With the lack of compassion or concern of both Dr. Marcovici, and his Nurse Practitioner, Marie Aguiar they should not be allowed to treat a dog. As an established spinal patient I had to make three trips to actually see Dr. Marcovici. He then sat across the room, he never review my Mri or Xrays with me and said that there was nothing he could do. He told me that surgery would not be recommended and if I did ever choose to have it, it was not clear if I would ever walk again, and I could be in even more pain. He sent me away with no options, or hope. He also told me there was nothing that could be done to control the pain. Find another Neurosurgeon. Unacceptable .

If it were not for Dr. Marcovici i would not be walking today. He did my back surgery very little down time only 3 weeks out of work. I He is friendly and very smart.

I went to see Alvin in early June. I was experiencing tingling , numbness, and burning feeling in my hands and was having a tough time standing. The receptionist was very rude, got my insurance wrong and had me sit. She showed a level of unprofessionalism that I've never thought I would ever witness. When I saw Dr Alvin Marcovicci. He was Ice cold and gave me a Christopher Reeves diagnosis of Irreparable spinal cord damage. Told me in about 10-15 I would probably be in a wheel chair and in need of constant care. My wife was in tears when we left the office. When I asked him "If there was anything that could be done for me".. He said "NO", gave me back my MRI discs/reports and got up and showed me the door.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Marcovici this past week. I was very impressed with the way he handled my problem. The receptionest was very cordial and helpful. I am happy to award his office 4 stars!!!!!!!

Dr. Marcovici was great. I have been having back problems for a long time. Two of my family members have had surgeries on their back by other doctors. One of them had to have a redo surgery to fix the damage caused by one of the surgeons. Dr. Marcovici took the time to explain to me that I might need surgery later, but there are a few things that I could try first. Hopefully I don't need surgery, but friends who've had him operate on them said he did a great job.

Dr Marcovici took the time to review my condition, including showing me the MRI pictures of my back. No other doctor ever did this for me! He told me I didn't even need surgery. After some physical therapy I feel much better.

HE DOES NOT LISTEN TO PATIENT AT ALL, DOES NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS, SPENDS MINIMAL TIME (10 MIN) WITH PATIENT. NO COMPASSION, NO ADVICE OR SUGGESTIONS TO HELP PATIENT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Dr Marcovici took the time to listen to my problems. He discovered that I didn't even need surgery. After a few weeks of therapy and an injection I feel great.

My first time vist, my appt time was 11 a.m. and I arrived between 5-10 mins early. The check in receptionist was buy, so she said she'd be with me in a min. At 11:05 I was concerned she had forgotten about me so went back up to the window and she said she didn't remember seeing me come in, though she had spoken to me. She was very nice though. After check in, I proceeded to wait till after 12 to see Dr. Marcovici, which once I was called in, the NP had to see me because the doctor was running behind. Eventually Dr. Marcovici came in to spend maybe 5 mins with me and by the time I got out of there it was 12:45.
