Dr. Alyn Gary Anderson, MD

Dr. Anderson is an excellent doctor. Having said that, there is a HUGE problem with his office staff. I am not sure if it is because the doctor is fiscally conservative and is not hiring enough staff to manage his work load, or if it is for some other reason I do not understand. When calling his office, it is extremely rare to have someone pick up the phone. 99.9% of the time, you deal with a recording. And, quite frankly, I would be fine with that if they would return the call. But, they NEVER do! Timely attention to filling and renewing prescriptions is an absolute nightmare with this office. I would assume that the problem would be that I did something to anger someone in the office, except that I have been extremely careful to be as business-like, professional and kind as I can be, and still, the responsiveness to needs is minimal to none, at all. That is a comment on the nurse in charge of prescriptions. The person he hired to be his receptionist leads me to the… conclusion that either: a) He is about to retire and doesn't care about how his patients are greeted; or, b) He is not aware of what is happening and they are doing everything they can to close down his long-established and respected practice. Do not go to this doctor. He is a kind, professional and up-to-date practitioner. His office staff is THE WORST!

Have been seeing Dr Anderson for a year. He is a doctor that cares for his patiences. Is most concerned with long term good health. He listens to all your concerns and answers questions in a clear manner.

Needs to get a new call back person

I like him for the time he has devoted to answering my questions.I don't like that I have to drive to his office simply to pick up his orders for any needed lab test - they can be easily handed to me during the previous office visit.I don't like the fact that he does not respond to my queries in-between visits.I don't like that he is not affiliated with a top hospital in Orange County
