Dr. Penstein is very straight forward in her assessment of your needs and realistically tells you what she can do. She is conservative in her approach. I thought she was fair in her pricing and at no time pushed any products. She is easy to talk to and responsive to any questions.

I have been to Penstein Derm.. For several years, both drs. are excellent. I have cosmetic injections with Dr. Alyson Penstein, and find she really gets it! She works with the all currant options of fillers available, but uses a creative approach to get the best results. I highly recommend!

I was incredibly disappointed in my experience with Dr. Penstein. I had a consultation and decided to try Bella Contour, a series of treatments that she said would definitely significantly eliminate inner thigh fat and would guarantee a "tunnel" or space between my thighs. I was told it would take between 8-10 sessions. I had 10 sessions with virtually no results. When I expressed my concerns to the technician, I was told that she had delivered the message to the doctor. Dr. Penstein did not take the time to answer my concerns, either in person or by email or phone when I tried to reach her in these various ways. She offered, through her technician, a discount on another cosmetic procedure, also guaranteed to produce results I would be very happy with. This doctor did not abide by professional and ethical obligations to me as a patient, and I should know, as I am a clinician as well.I have no confidence in this practitioner to undergo any other procedures and do not recommend… others to her office.

Dr. Penstein has successfully treated me for a variety of skin conditions, ranging from severe acne to laser scar treatment. Dr. Penstein is knowledgeable, careful, and caring. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a general and/or cosmetic dermatologist.

Was recommended by a friend and have been going to dr pen stein for 4 years now. She is great. I recommend her to everyone I know and they all say she is wonderful.
