Dr. Alyssa M Cocchiara, DO

We brought my father-in-law to the Emergency Room at South Brooklyn Health after he fell and injured his face, and the care he received from Dr. Alyssa Cocchiara and Nurse Evan Brockett, RN, was truly exceptional. Dr. Cocchiara was incredibly thorough and meticulous, yet efficient, everything moved quickly without feeling rushed. She made sure that every serious possibility was ruled out, ordering a CT scan immediately, and we had the results within minutes. Thanks to her attention to detail, we learned right away that there were no fractures or internal bleeding. What impressed us most was her compassion and dedication — she even called the next day to check on him, something emergency physicians almost never do. That level of care and humanity truly stood out. Nurse Evan Brockett was equally wonderful, professional, kind, and attentive throughout the entire visit. He made my father-in-law comfortable and reassured us every step of the way, even personally putting him in the car… service to make sure he was safe. The entire South Brooklyn Health ER team was outstanding efficient, accommodating, and compassionate. I cannot recommend Dr. Cocchiara, Nurse Brockett, or the South Brooklyn Health Emergency Department highly enough. This was the best possible experience that one can have in the Emergency Room.
