Dr. Amada Fortuna Romano, MD

If you are looking for someone to work WITH you on the health of your child, go to someone else. She talks on top of you, at you and is terribly condescending. Poor listening skills. She needs training on cultural humility, sensitivity and communication skills. The relationship between the patient and the doctor is so important for health management purposes and she does not have this skill. I found her to be inappropriate as all of these behaviors take place in front of the children. It is sad that her office must lose patients because of her.

I met with this dr today and was completely appalled and her rudeness and unprofessional behavior. She was not helpful in any way and extremely condescending ! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My teen had the worst visit in all her years of being a Pediatric Associates patient. The doctor lacks tact, professionalism, and basic manners. We will never return to this location again. We have experienced a plethora of issues at this location but today was the last straw. Atrocious bedside manner and needs to take a refresher course on being civil with patients and their parents.

Bueno mi experiencia con ella fue pesima ,no trata a los niños con amor si no como adultos fui donde ella por una causa como todos vamos a llevar a nuestros hijos y no sali con ninguna respuesta , es como si no huviese hido a una doctora ,realmente no les recimiendo esta doctora por el bien de los niños yo como madre sali muy disjusta de la consulta,doctores como ella no deberian de trabajar con niños si no con animales.

If I could rate her a 0, I would. I had some concerns which weren't that big of a deal.. but seeing as I was a first time mom who never really dealt with kids, I didn't know what was the "norm" with a (at the time) 1 year old. My baby was upset while we waited for the dr to finally show up in the exam room so I took out my phone and put on a cute cartoon to soothe her since nothing else was working Regardless of what is wrong or right about having an infant watch a tiny bit of screen time, there is no need to make a mother feel like she is an idiot of a parent for making a simple mistake, if that - which is exactly what she did. She continued to make me feel like an awful parent by pretty much scolding me for trying to soothe my crying infant. While I undressed my baby, she got more upset and I picked her up and held her, to which Amada said "You shouldn't hold/soothe her at her every cry." So, being a nervous first time mom as well as being told by a doctor not to soothe my child, I… stepped back and watched on as she cried and was checked by Amada... which of course, drove me to tears. Once she was done, she just stared at me while I dressed my baby. Amada did her paperwork and left shortly after. That was the first and last time I dealt with her. Impatient, easily annoyed, rude, insensitive.. she is as cold-hearted as it gets.

Dr. Romano-Silva has been my family's pediatrician since 2006. She is kind, curteous, and very caring. My oldest daughter had a seizure at her office during a visit and she handled it with discipline and grace. The only complaint I have is the terribly long wait time; however, she is worth waiting for. In defense to other reviews I will say she has always personally followed up by phone and if you don't get a call you can always leave her a message and she will respond. Great doctor to all my 4 children!

Dr. Romano-Silva was excellent! She was thorough in her assessment of my newborn, listened to all of my questions/ concerns and was very professional.

Dr. Romano-Silvia is great, every time I book an appointment I always ask for her to see my kids, she is very friendly and caring and has even done follow up calls after a visit her self!

The only complaint that i have to say about Pedriatric Associates is that the phone service doesn't work at all. I have the direct number for the kendall office, then somebody from Miami beach or other offices answers, and then they don't have accurate info about kendall office, about shots, etc. The only reason i stayed at pediatrics is for Dr Romano. She is a excellent doctor and i want to keep her for my baby's medical needs.
