Dr. Stefanou is nothing short of outstanding

This doctor and her staff have no idea what it feels like to have bowel movements after a hemorrhoidectomy. It feels like you're passing blades and knives. I've asked for a numbing cream and twice she said she doesn't believe in it. I'm using the strongest OTC cream available without a prescription and I told her I can't function without something. Pain killers don't help as much as something to numb the area. I'm in so much pain for hours after each bowel movement that I shake and my chest hurts from the ordeal. Her nurse said if it's that much pain go to the ER for chest pain. I hope the doctor and her staff have hemorrhoidectomies so they can understand what patients go through. It's 3 am and I can't sleep from the pain. If she'd only prescribe a numbing cream I'd take less narcotic pain killers and maybe I could sleep through one night.
