I suffered an unauthorized FGM violation by another physician and sought a second opinion and she fails to report what was done to me properly..

Excellent and extremely professional

I did not like her nurse at all. She made me feel uncomfortable. She also performed the Pap smear and took forever s if she had no idea what she was doing. Made it seem agonizing. As for the Dr. She seemed almost annoyed I was there and completely ignored my migraine complaint which was hormonal and said " take an excedrin". I wasn't necessarily looking for medication oriented advice ~ just some suggestions how to cope better. Or if I should go to an ER if they were bad. I simply did not care for her bedside manner and get front desk - well rude and complacent sums that up.

Dr. Barrett is the best doctor ever. My father in law is a retired doctor and when he saw Dr. Barrett and how she worked with me, he was thoroughly impressed with her ability to work under pressure and also be the sweet person she is. LOVE HER!

I made an appointment after learning I was pregnant with my first baby. Shortly after, I began bleeding and called the office to get a sooner appointment. I was "brushed off" and assured it was nothing. Over the next couple days, I developed sharp left sided pain and more bleeding. I called the office multiple times to get an appointment with no luck. It wasn't until I ended up in the ER that I was schedule a sooner appointment. Turns out, I had an ectopic pregnancy that easily could have ruptured. During the whole process, I felt very dismissed by the staff. They didn't take the time to listen to me or explain what was happening very well. This may have been routine for them, but for me it was a new and scary experience. I will not be going back for any future pregnancies.

I went in for a routine exam. Dr. Barrett and her nursing assistant both made an inappropriate comment about my physical appearance. After that I felt very uncomfortable. Then the nurse was very rude with me and not open to giving information about my procedure. I had to literally ask outright the steps of the procedure before she would elaborate. She sounded annoyed by doing her job. I must say the receptionist is super kind and helpful but the medical staff is sub par in ability and bedside manner. I also had an experience as the lady above where Dr. Barrett was trying to tell me something different about my condition that has been diagnosed from years past by more than one doctor!! Scary, I wouldn't risk going there! I did not have the procedure done and plan on never returning.

I cannot say enough about how much I love Dr. Barrett and their practice. She is very calm and down to earth. I was diagnosed with placenta previa, that resolved, but because of that had a little more intense of a labor than the average. I was in labor for a pretty long time and she never once mentioned a c section. They couldn't figure out why I wasn't dilated past 9cm for hours and she decided to check for head placement. My little guy had not turned his head in the right spot and she turned him and he came within the next hour to hour and a half. She also initiated my pushing and stayed with me the entire 40 mins until he was born. My sister is a labor and delivery nurse and also in school to be a midwife and said that about 90% of drs these days would have made me have a c section. She is very up to date on what is evidence based and what is not. I could go on and on about how much I loved dr. Barrett and the practice, in general. I rarely had a long wait unless a dr had a… delivery and that may have been once in the many times I went. Anyway, two thumbs up! She will be seeing me again for my next baby!

I decided to see Dr. Barrett after reading the reviews online and I'm so glad I did! She was great! She spent a great deal of time with me and answered all my questions. Her nurse got back with me within 2 days of having lab work done and she also was very great about answering my questions and setting up my follow up. The office staff is also great! I definitely will be sending my friends and co-workers to her.

I have been diagnosed with PCOS by 2 different doctors. I recently moved to Nashville and needed a new doctor to help me manage my PCOS, especially with helping me get pregnant. On my only visit to her, I was not impressed by her or her nurse. She said she wanted me to get some blood work done so she could see where my levels are at and help me set up a plan/process to get pregnant. A few days after I got the blood work done, I get a call from her nurse who left a voicemail that simply said my blood work came back normal. It took me 2 weeks to finally get the nurse back on the phone and the first thing she said to me was that my blood work indicates that I don't have PCOS. I have been diagnosed by 2 different doctors and I have had ultrasounds done that show the cysts on my ovaries and still to this day do not have normal cycles. I explained all of this medical history to her in detail during my appointment. I most definitely do have PCOS and I do not have any faith in this doctor's… ability to treat a patient with this condition.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Barrett. She caught my rare pregnancy complication and saved my child's life. Her nurse is always quick to respond if you have any questions. The staff is very friendly and even remembered me from 2+ years ago. You really can't go wrong with anyone at this practice!
