Dr. Amanda Braun Bennett, DO

She is very nice and intelligent, but a bad doctor.

My sister recently had an appointment with Bennett on Talkiatry. My sister recently moved back to Boston and already has a diagnosis of Bipolar disorder and has been prescribed medication. Although Bennett claims to treat and specialize in disorders like bipolar disorder she decided not to take her on as a patient after barely one visit, apparently bc she's been hospitalized (twice, she's in her mid 20s) and possibly because of her drinking--these are both issues Bennett should be well trained in dealing with. Therefore I found this to be HIGHLY unprofessional and raised many concerns and questions about her competency and ethics as a medical professional. Doctors are free to decline patients but their reason matters, and this one should scare away anyone considering her.

Dr. Bennett just tries to tell you How you feel, not actually listen to you, your past and what you need help and support with. She also is scared to prescribe certain medications as Massachusetts is a highly regulated state. However this shouldn’t stop a Dr from doing what’s best for the patient.
