Dr. Amanda Brown
The daughter of Dr. Douglas Herbert, Dr. Amanda Brown grew up around dentistry. She has been working in the office since 1986 and joined her father in the practice after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1998. Dr. Brown is a native of Loudoun County. Following the death of her father, she and her partner, Dr. Collazo, took over the practice in 2008.
Carrying on her father's tradition of excellence, Dr. Brown has accomplished extensive orthodontic education and training. She is a member of several organizations including the American Orthodontic Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Association for Functional Orthodontics and a board member of the Virginia Center for Ethical Solutions.
She has also invested many hours of continuing education in laser dentistry at the World Clinical Laser Institute. The laser improves accuracy of procedures while helping to eliminate pain and recovery time. Dr. Brown prides herself …in being extremely gentle and provides care for all the children in the practice.
Dr. Brown and her husband, David, live in Purcellville with their two sons. In addition to her active family schedule, she enjoys hiking and bread baking.
