Dr. Amanda D Camposagrado, MD

I really like Dr Camposagrado and am sorry she is leaving the UC Davis system. As a new patient, she was very thorough in getting my medical background and was diligent in getting my history into the UC Medical record system. Very easy to work with and spent plenty of time with me while in her office. She knows when to refer a patient to another specialist, or if it is within her realm of responsibility. I will miss her.

I have rarely had a good experience when seeing Dr. CamposAgrado. The wait time for is usually over an hour. She is very reluctant to prescribe medications and often recommends over the counter meds instead, which depending on your co-payment can be even more expensive. Lastly, I find her to be impersonal, I have seen her many times; however, we have never developed a patient/doctor rapport.

I have found Dr. Camposagrado to be very caring and thorough in her exams and inquiries. She has to ask the same questions of every patient all day long, so some of it sounds like memorized spiel. But she listens carefully and picks up on any possible medical problem. I think her knowledge and scientific assessment is spot-on. She will acknowledge when she needs to check on the latest research, so she is willing to entertain new ideas and also listens to my theories (smile). She has a busy practice but spends the time necessary if a patient has a problem. I would gladly recommend Dr. Camposagrado to any of my friends.

She touches patient's body like it is an inanimate object. These people are in Medical to make money not to do the service that this profession requires. Her medical assistant is equally rude and uncouth.

My husband and I are both patient of hers and we LOVE her! She is very cautious and takes everything very seriously. She is also excellent on following up after the appointments, the only down side is the waiting time for her but because she really listens and wants to assure she examines her patients throughly, it is well worth the wait.

Doctor is more interested in computer stats than human care.

Amanda is a good fit for me. Yes, she has her expectations and if you don't deliver, she will call you on it. Then she will help you get your act together and do your part to heal yourself. So she is as much a guide as she is a sage. This attitude she displays is focus and determination, if she is too hot, I suggest you work with her or move on. So far she has taken me through all the ailments that being fat brings with it, and never once did she disrespect me, but she does hold me accountable. She let's me think about my options: to lose weight she gave me all the info I needed and when I didn't take her options and went with Weight Watchers, she was down with it. Now, we just had a very hard exchange about cancer, and she listtened to me when I advocated for myself. So look, she will listen, but you must present your ideas and feelings. I'd she disagrees she will tell you, but it works both ways. Respect her and you will get the same. You have to be an aggressive… communicator, but she will listen. If you know something she doesn't, she will research your findings and get back with you. Amanda is business and a fighter, isn't that what you want in your corner when things go bad? I sure do.

I realize that this is a young Dr., but her bedside manner is anything but caring. Nor does she instill any desire to trust her. She is abrupt, rude and extremely sarcastic taking my information in a state of frantic rush. You feel as though you are bothering her even when you are trying to answer the questions. She obviously does not enjoy her current career which is a shame because after working so hard to become a doctor, it is unlikely that she will make any type of career change. Much to her patient's despair. So if you want to see how it feels to be a mosquito... go see Dr. Camposagrado. Actually, the mosquito fares better because it wouldn't have to endure the sarcasm and condesending attitude.

I've been going to Dr. Camposagrado for the past 4 years and she has been an excellent primary care physician. She listens to me, asks questions, provides excellent treatment and care without automatically pushing drugs. Overall, I think she's a very good physician. I'm young but over the last 3 years have had a few minor health issues that needed to be addressed and Dr. Camposagrado always ordered the right tests or referred me to the appropriate specialists. If I had a problem getting an appointment with those specialists her staff helped to make sure I was taken care of. Overall, she is a very good doctor and I would easily recommend her.

For 2 years being my primary physician, With regards to her attitude, I find her not caring at all with her patient and little bit sarcastic. That's why one time my blood pressure shoot up because of her way of talking to me. I know she got scared about it. As for diagnosing my sickness, she's not good at all. I would say that I was considerate because it took me long before I change to another doctor.
