Dr. Amanda Marie Everhart, MD

I felt very disrespected by dr. everhart. I was coming in for breast pain, and another related breast issue that I did not feel comfortable putting in the notes for all to see because I was embarrassed. After making the appointment, I had another issue come up (thumb pain/infection) that I did not think was going to be a big deal to add; apparently this must have ruined her day. I was asked to change from the waist up into a gown by the MA. The doctor walked in, looked at my pile of clothes and loudly asked, rudely with the door open, why did you take your pants off. I said I didn’t, I’m wearing shorts. Then she started to lecture me on how they were not adequately prepared for my visit because I didn’t put enough in the notes and if I needed to add on thumb pain I should have called to have it added to the note. I have worked in medical for 14 years. I know that breast pain along with the other breast issue was not going to change how the visit was conducted; it is a breast exam.… Then she looked at my thumb for all of 5 seconds which was in a lot of pain and red/warm. She said it isn’t infected, I am not sure how she came to that conclusion. Then she said you really need to stop cutting your nails so short or that is going to keep happening. I told her I don’t cut my nails. They are very brittle and often just break/fall off. She just said that is unfortunate. After that she ordered some labs and a mammogram. I got the labs done but do not plan to do the imaging because it is coming back to her and I do not want to have to deal with her attitude again. I believe that if the image showed cancer she would just call me and tell me that that is unfortunate. I have never gone to a doctor and left feeling so disrespected and as if I was such an inconvenience to her day. She was in there for 8 minutes (not 10, like my after visit summary says). She made me feel so small. I would never recommend this provider to anyone; she did not care about what was going on and offered no education/reasons as to what might be going on with either issue. She was just eager to get me out of her clinic.

She's the best! I will go out of my way to see her. She listens and does a great job. I've been seeing her for years.

She did nothing further than the nurse did. She poked around at my stomach and said it was normal. Told me any of my little pains were normal with absolute no investigation. Told me I don’t need to do any blood work because I seem fine. She also seemed rushed and impatient with me. She stressed the flu shot like crazy. That’s it. So go see anyone else. Go ask anyone off the street if you appear healthy and it will be the same experience. If you see her you will be wasting your time and money I promise you!
