Dr. Amanda Jean Johnson, MD

I saw Dr. Johnson as I had a NIPT that came back with abnormalities; however, my ultrasounds have never shown anything consistent with the NIPT test. When I saw her, our ultrasound showed a male even though the NIPT suggested a female fetus. She left us in a consult room for close to 30-45 minutes without answers. When she came in, she still had no answers, was not confident in what she was saying, and left us with more unanswered questions than when we started. Later, I received a bill for close to 3 times what the other MFMs at CU charged because she spent so much time "researching" what to tell us. When I was initially given the opportunity to evaluate her, I declined thinking that she had a bad day or maybe she was brand new and needed some grace, but having to pay more for her incompetence is downright insulting. I am a veterinary specialist and I would NEVER charge someone more money because I didn't know something or couldn't provide them with the information that they came to… me for. This was a really unfortunate visit for us and now because of her lack of experience/knowledge, I'm left with a higher bill than the other two MFMs that I actually preferred. If given an option, go with either Dr. Braverman or Dr. Scott.
