Dr. Amanda Lynn Lanier, MD

I'm not looking forward to finding a new pediatrician now that we have left Charlotte. I have a 15-month old who has been seen by Dr. Moran since she was born. I don't understand why another poster thinks she has a poor bedside manner. When my OB was trying to discharge me early from the hospital as I was recovering from the c-section, Dr. Moran happened to pop in my room after having evaluated my daughter and she saw me in the middle of a huge meltdown. She was so kind! She was also straightforward with me about my daughter's excessive weight loss and since I was having difficulty nursing she had her office call me on the day I was discharged to make an immediate appointment with a lactation consultant. As a first-time mother I have had tons of questions at every visit and she has always taken the time to sit down and listen to me and address my questions/concerns. She has given sane real-workd advice on things like weaning, feeding and cosleeping, but also respects that each… parent and child is different. I will really miss her and I would highly recommend her to anyone! My only low score was on the visiting room wait time, but that is beyond her control. It's a busy practice and hopefully she is spending as much time with other parents and children as she has with me and my daughter!
