Dr. Amanda Fleming Marsch

Dr. Marsch is phenomenal. Excellent physician: thoughtful, diligent, conservative in her overall approach. Very aware of current trends and issues in her expertise and goes beyond the call of duty for her patients.

My visit was a year ago, My former Dr was Dr. McPoland whom I liked very much. He has now retired and I was directed to Dr. Amanda Marsch. Her front of the house crew is fabulous, and attentive especially Rosie. I even brought a friend of mine Angela in as a patient and she won’t go back. She felt she was rushed and she gave no concerning answers to her questions. I feel the same way. She feels she is the doctor and what she says is final and that your concerns are brushed off with a short ineffective response. She needs to spend a bit more time with her patients and show more concerns. I have now been in search for a new dermatologist. I’m sure her knowledge of dermatology is excellent but it’s not only about being a doctor to your patients

I really regret having ever made an appointment with her. I’ve had biopsies done by several different dermatologists since I was a kid. All went fine, until my visit with Amanda. She cut much more deeply than any other doctor, and inexplicably stopped halfway, then started again, creating a new cut - this resulted in the scars having uneven borders on two sides. I’m left with unnecessarily deep, ugly scars. She seemed rushed as soon as she started the skin exam, which was concerning, and that same rushed demeanor continued throughout the biopsy process. I also felt that she acted unprofessionally regarding a concern I had. Overall bad experience.

I have seen Dr. Marsch 3 times for recurrent acne, and have been consistently disappointed by her lack of bedside manner, and her lack of attention to my concerns. Each time I have seen Dr. Marsch, she has not spent longer than 5 minutes with me, all while dismissing my questions and concerns. While I agree with her assessment that my acne is not so bad to need Accutane, I disagree with her response that as a result, her “hands are tied” as to the other options I can pursue. I am cancelling my follow up with her, and will try to be seen by someone more professional, more attentive and more compassionate.
