Dr. Amanda R. Phillips, MD

Amanda R. Phillips, MD, MSc, has joined the vascular surgery department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.
She is a native Oregonian and earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Oregon. She went on to earn her doctor of medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her vascular surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she was selected as administrative chief resident. During her residency, she received a master of science in clinical research (MSc) from the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, she served as assistant professor of surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University where she also taught the vascular course to the school of podiatry.
She is board certified in vascular surgery, a registered physician in vascular interpretation and has published more than 25 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Her clinical interests include complex aortic disease, carotid …disease and stroke prevention, limb salvage, dialysis access and venous disease.
She tailors treatment plans to each person by providing clear information in an understandable way to help patients make informed decisions, and effectively communicating with other members of their care team.
She and her husband, Max, have two children.
