Do not recommend.

I was convinced that I needed a spinal cord stimulator after being a patient under her care for many years. After the device was placed, I immediately began asking for it to be removed. It took 2 months and 4 days before it was removed. I have seen a local Nuerologist and have been to the Nuerology department atthrough the Mayo Clinic. I am unable to work due to decreased cognitive function and pain that is unreasonably increased from the day and even months prior to the day it was placed. I begged for help and was disregarded until I had a psychotic breakdown and was suicidal. I may still be walking, talking and breathing, but all of the quality of life that I had ended the day she placed a scalpel on me. I should have researched the device first but I had full trust in her and that is the biggest regret of my life. I might had well of physically died in her operating room physically, but, instead, am living in a permanent nightmare and extreme psychological and mental distress. After… it was removed research showed that I did not qualify for the device and I was not physically evaluated by a neurosurgeon and was not cleared by a psychiatrist which is mandatory. My previous psychiatric diagnoses alone disqualified me for the device. I was not a human that she desired to help. I was a patient number that brought her more money. April 06, 2023

My father was a patient of Dr. Trout (until today). He has chronic pain in his back and wanted to do the spinal stimulator however due to other medical conditions he could not have it done. They had put him on belbucca it made him way weak and nauseated and a few other symptoms. He requested that his medication he changed. Dr. Trout would not do this and he was told that this medication does not have side effects. I say bull s#%* all medications move a side effects. I went to the belbucca web page and it listed several side effects many he had and it also stated that if kidney disease which he has. I think she should research the medication before she uses it a a cookie cutter treatment. Vexed daughter

I had an appointment with Dr. Trout only once, she leaves pain management control to nurse practitioners, NP prescribed Belbucca which is an opiate and addictive but I was unable to tolerate due to side effects. Now my pain is out of control without any pain meds, leaving me in a diminished and miserable quality of life.

Very skilled and personable. She reflects an education and training second to none. Dr. Trout's personality is one of patience and understanding. She is compassionate and works well with her staff. The procedures she has preformed on me we're effective and without undue anxiety or pain. I have found my physician and my PA, Ginny. I am very blessed.
