Dr. Amanda Marie Turbeville, MD

She removed a tumor from my mother's large intestine and it herniated after a few weeks. At a follow up appointment my mother told her about chronic pain and a big lump sticking out. Turbeville did not even examine my mother and when my mother told her she was also having chronic nausea Turbeville said "You can't blame me for that" and left the room. My mother had to wear an abdominal belt to hold everything in until we got another surgeon to repair the hernia. My mother still has pain at the site of the surgery and that was two years ago. I recently struck up a conversation with a woman working in the area and got on the subject of health. I told her about my mother's ordeal and she asked me who was the doctor. Upon hearing it was Dr. Turbeville she said Turbeville also performed a botched abdominal surgery on her and she was waiting for corrective surgery with another surgeon. In my opinion, Turbeville might be able to pull of simple surgeries but anything requiring advanced skill is… over her head leaving victims in her wake.

This woman left me with a surgically induced disease after a thyroidectomy that has destroyed my quality of life. She then proceeded to misdiagnose me with cancer by “accidentally going down the wrong hole” during an endoscopy. Run. She is dangerous. Sweet, kind, charismatic. I don’t know if she is just incompetent or evil.

Excellent doctor! The time from testing to diagnosis to surgery was super speedy. Dr. Turbeville is very kind and makes you feel at ease. I appreciate her surgical approach in robotic laparoscopic surgery because it meant a quicker recovery and a super speedy outpatient surgery. Recovery has been a breeze and she was very attentive and kind as well as answered all my questions at my follow up. If I ever have to have surgery again, I will absolutely request Dr. Turbeville.

She did not do surgery as explained and per standard if care, she talks a good game but she's a liar, beware!

Dr Turbeville was excellent! My husband was admitted to the ER the night before and diagnosed with appendicitis. She met with us before the surgery and explained what was going to happen and answered all of our questions. She met with me while he was in recovery to discuss aftercare and how he did. She was very kind and positive.

Dr Tuberville left an open scar. Surgery on my ear resulted in a staph infection. Surgery was 10/30/16 and as of 4/1/17 has NOT healed. I have to undergo surgery with a plastic surgeon to excise that wound and determine why it won't heal.

Doctor has too little experience. Did not provide good aftercare instructions. Would never use again.
