Dr. Amanda Paige Ulrich, MD

I was referred to Dr. Ulrich for a total hysterectomy including salpingo-oopherectomy. It wound up turning into longer surgery due an undiagnosed case of Stage 3 endometriosis. My recovery was largely uncomplicated and did not require pain medication beyond over the counter medication. Dr. Ulrich asked for my explicit consent before doing anything under anesthesia, was upfront about the possibility of complications from the surgery, and informed me of the minor damage that was caused by the instruments which was repaired at the end of the surgery. It was a major surgery to recover from but Dr. Ulrich went out of her way to not cause me unnecessary pain even at the post op appointments.

She did not honor my wishes on paper. She violated her license of taking the oath for medicine. I told her I did not want Iud inserted I woke up during surgery could only hear and I couldn’t see as she tried to insert the IUD for birth control. Also, I had a second surgery they found she did not remove the endometriosis and a hole in my uterus was found from her mistakes. I wish her license gets taken away or reviewed. I am in so much pain right now. I’m bawling my eyes out and she is half the reason and she is at fault. UCONN is ashamed for their program for endometriosis I had to pay 10K for the best doc in NYC to repair her mistakes. The next surgeon cost me a lot of money top of New York City and couldn’t believe the scans prior to Amanda operating on me consulted with a lawyer.
