Dr. Amanullah Khan, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr Khan for years and he’s a terrific, caring doctor. I have moved to Florida and flew in for a final quarterly maintenance visit I flew to DFW just for this and one other final doc appointment. I told Cara (front desk) when I got to their office (n time) that I would need to be seen and gone in 45 minutes - as I flew in from FL just to see him and one other doctor that I had an appointment with one hour after the Khan appointment. After 35 minutes of waiting in the lobby I asked Cara if they could see me in the next ten minutes. She said no and actually asked if I wanted to reschedule. Like I’m gonna fly back to FL, then fly back to DFW for another appointment. Hello? McFly? Then I spoke with a person named Rosie to see if I could get a referral to a doctor in FL to continue my treatment. Like all specialists she told me they don’t do referrals. I asked why and she said “because we are specialists.” That’s not a reason.

After bad experience in my hometown when they diagnosed me with bronchial alvelor lung cancer, he had it removed, diagnosed again 3 years later. Had tumors again after another 3 years. Each time he made the right diagnosis & had him treated. We travel 300 miles every 3 months for my checkup. He is an awesome Dr & human being. He cares about people. If only we had more like him.

My wife was a patient. She had two different kinds of cancer and was dying when she met him. He was kind, gentle, caring and empathetic. He soothed her soul and gave her the answers she had been searching for.

Beyond excellent in all areas: medical knowledge, communications, effectiveness, excellent staff, puts patient at ease, the total package!

Very knowledgeable in treating GIST; a rare type of cancer. Takes his time during my appointment. Insures I am getting the proper tests and treatments.

Dr. Khan is an amazing doctor. He's not only fantastic at what he does, but he's also thorough, understanding and kind. When my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, we went to see Dr. Khan. He spent over an hour with my dad, explaining everything and going over his entire medical history. He waited for me to translate everything for my dad and made us feel like it wasn't the end of the world. My dad wouldn't be alive today if not for Dr. Khan. He really is an amazing doctor.

I accompanied my mother to her first appointment with Dr. Khan after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Khan is a very soft spoken, caring older man. It was very evident that he was thorough by the time he took to look over her chart and make sure he had all of the results before giving his opinion. VERY impressed!
