Dr. Amaro Sergio Reyes-Garza, MD

Dr Reyes listens carefully to his patients, at least that was my experience. He avoids overmedicating, does not prescribe a medication for every single symptom like other doctors. You will not end up with half a dozen medications when you see him but only the ones you really need. He is honest and tells you what he really thinks, I know some people do not like to hear the truth about themselves,, then why do you go to see a psychiatrist?

Dr reyes is one of the best psychiatrists I have seen. He is an excellent diagnostician and a real expert at using medication. He is very caring and sensitive. He has helped me quite a lot and I highly recommend him.

I went in for an evaluation and he didn't care, reply, or allow me to ask questions about my treatment. My insurance paid for one hour and he only gave me twenty minutes. How can you evaluate a patient n twenty minutes? I felt worthless. He said "just take your meds" and refused to let me ask questions saying I could ask them at my med management appointment. Those are only ten minutes! . I begged for help. I wasn't there for addiction. I was there because I'm mentally suffering from extreme depression and anxiety. He wouldn't let me finish talking. He just shoved me out the door and I was sobbing, devastated. If someone who is paid to care doesn't care then who does? He said I stormed out. I didn't. I left hysterically sobbing and was crying sat on the sidewalk outside. Nobody came out. Nobody cared. He didn't care. I begged for help in the waiting room after he shoved me out of the office. I felt so alone. I have never felt like that. Abandoned. Worthless. Like garbage and not worth… anyone's time.

Dr was rude and uncaring. Talked with me for five minutes and was very judgemental without knowing me. I'm thinking maybe he has a few skeletons in his closet that he should let go of before he can start helping others.
