My path to family medicine started as I was drawn to the personal, one-on-one interaction with patients. I enjoy a comprehensive approach to care, working hand-in-hand with the patient as a team to manage their medical conditions. I assist patients to incorporate lifestyle modifications and coach them to treat complex disease processes alongside with medical management. I take pride in the individualized care I provide during and after appointments.
I am a family nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. My nursing career began in 2007 as a registered nurse working in a level I trauma center/emergency department in Newark, Delaware for five years. From there, life took my husband and I to Sierra Vista, Arizona, where I continued to work as an emergency room nurse while furthering my career as a nurse practitioner. I obtained my Master’s degree in 2014. I was able to practice in an internal medicine office for one year in Arizona, …prior to moving back to the East Coast to be closer to family. I joined the St. Luke’s Family in 2016 and have been working with Northern Valley Primary Care since that time.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband, our two Jack Russell dogs, our family and friends. I enjoy exploring new towns, cooking, riding my bicycle, reading and trying to enjoy all that life has to offer.
