Dr. Amber Patrice Dobyne, MD

Just moved to Houston from Boston, Dr. Amber couldn't accept my wife as a new patient without reason yet she was accepting new patients, i even asked the nurse to give me an explanation but she couldn't. All the nurse told me was she had no idea either yet my wife was not even a high risk, professionally, i think she could atleast give a reason after going through my wife's medical records. Very mean of her but after reading through the reviews here, thank God, she denied us after all!

Botched. I had 3 c-sections. One was 9 years ago, another 4 years ago, the last a few months ago. The last one amber Dobnye did. She was rude and unprofessional in the or. The worst experience (and I had an emergency one the first time). After the surgery I have had plenty of unfortunate consequences from. The worst scar, and it still hurts and is raised like 2 cms. Never had this problem, and I didn’t have back to back c-sections. I went to another ob and they confirmed surgical error. Do not get a c-section from this woman!!!

Dr. Dobyne was attentive, easy to communicate with, and knowledgeable. Comments about receptionists and office personelle should not be placed under a doctor’s name. I started seeing Dr. Dobyne when I was 34 weeks pregnant and she took over my pregnancy with ease as she guided me towards my delivery. I was induced four days early and everything went smooth and easy.

Ok so first I was sceptical about her due to the fact of all these ugly peoples bad reviews because they had to wait, like seriously ?? what do u expect!! It’s a doctors office. But after changing doctors and having dr. Dobyne as my doctor she is amazing!!! I love her she is always concerned about my baby and my health!! Moral of this story don’t let ugly people determine ur dr. See for yourself then make a judgement call!!!

Very unprofessional office manager. Rude and does not know how to respectfully speak to patients/ CUSTOMERS. Spoke with office manger was told to come in for appointment, once I arrived and had been waiting Over and hour was told I had to pay $33 on couldn't be seen. Then was told they couldnr see me at all because I was delivering with a midwife. When I set up the apppomtment I informed Lieghanne that this was going to be my last appointment, she put me on hold for over 10minutes then said yes I could come in for the anomaly ultrasound. When I askwd to speak with Dr.Dobyne i was told ' She can't stop seeing patients to speak with you' i am very disappointed and upset that I drove a very far distance and treated so rudely by these HEALTH PROFESSIONALS. I actually referred others proud to see a group of black women doctors only to be treated like I didmt not matter, because I decided to deliver with midwife, my insurance still paid the costs of my visit amd would have paid this one as… well. The disrespect of the manner in which the office manager and receptionist spoke to mean was unreal and the fact that Dr. Dobyne refused to speak with me after time and gas was wasted to come to the appointment is very dishearting. I would never want anyone else to be treated in this manner. I have 2 other children and my previous obgyn would provide care up to I went to my midwife with no problem, unfortunately he retired.

Very long wait hrs they don't tell u she is at the hospital make you wait 3 hrs before u ask and then u reschedule have pee cups left from pts in restroom don't recommend don't even do ultrasound on same day have to reschedule for that too end up seeing her every week and having to reschedule more then half should of stayed with my old dr.
