Ambica Garg

If you're considering seeing Dr. Garg, please read this first. I very rarely leave reviews online but I want to warn other women and let you know that there's absolutely a reason why so many of Dr. Garg's reviews are 1-star. The office staff is lovely as others have noted but that doesn't make up for the doctor herself who is rude, emotionally unstable, condescending, dismissive, and impatient among other things. She's one of the very few OB/GYNs in my insurance network so I went to see her for a consultation about an issue that will likely involve surgery and the future of my fertility. When she walked in, she was pleasant enough for the first 30 seconds and then just said I needed an ultrasound and was about to walk out the door again without another word. I told her I had a few questions about the potential surgery and the implications on my ability to still have a baby and she stopped right by the door, clearly annoyed that I wanted to ask any questions at all. The first question I… asked was how many of these surgeries has she done and she immediately got defensive and upset and raised her voice "if you don't trust me, then go somewhere else!" I was shocked and I told her that I've only spent a couple minutes with her and these are important questions to ask before any surgery. She continued to almost yell at me for asking this simple question and never even answered it. Then she implied that I was too old to have a baby (I'm definitely not!) and that I was a difficult patient because I wanted to preserve my fertility when normally in this type of surgery, she said she "burns the uterine lining and is done with it". She continued trying to make me feel crazy for wanting to have a baby and was so incredibly rude and mean. I was so shocked at her behavior and then she just stomped right out of the room without saying goodbye or anything. So again, if you're considering Dr. Garg, read some of these 1-star reviews and run, don't walk, to another OB/GYN!

Unfortunately, Dr. Garg so doesn't care about people but money. She can't stay in the room for more than 2 min. All office staff is rude. And I wasn't even checked properly. When I asked if she didn't want to do some exams, she answered (standing on the other side of the office) that she could see from here and it looked fine, and left... I mean, this is how breast exam should be done? And what do I pay for then???

Did not pay much attention to me and my requests. Did not take my medical history into account. Knew nothing about available options for me. Prescribed me the wrong thing. Seemed rushed and like I wasn't worth her time even though I was the only one there.
