Dr. Ambreen Ashraf, MD

I highly recommend rheumatologist Dr Ambreen Ashraf. She is professional, knowledgeable, current on Sjogren's treatment options, caring, listens to my concerns/questions and offers easily understood questions and treatment options. At 71, I greatly appreciate feeling "heard." My personal experience with Dr Ashraf is very positive.

Quick scheduling for new patients (about a month! For a specialist!!). Dr. Ashraf communicates very well and very clearly, is very compassionate and takes a lot of time to make sure she knows your history and chief concerns before coming up with a plan to treat whatever you might be suffering from. Highly recommend.

I was referred by my internist for arthritis. Dr. Ashraf is very compassionate and caring. She also speaks English well. I would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a Rheumatologist.

Did not listen to me at all and made assumptions due to my medications. She thinks I have stds and aids because I take pain medication. Horrible manner. I would not recommend her and I refuse to see her again. Total waste of time for me.

What is the deal with all these doctors who cannot speak English. I was referred to her as well as 2 others (all from the same country no less) and not ONE of them could communicate with me. I think it should be made mandatory before they can take their boards that they learn the English language fully and are able to pronounce words and construct sentences. It is so sad to think that elderly people who are already hard of hearing have to deal with this in their final years.
