Dr. Ameet Kumar Goyal, MD

I had Blepharoplasty done in 2007 by Dr Goyal. A week apart for each eye. My insurance paid for it because it was interfering with my vision After the 2nd surgery and the follow ups I had not only developed a slight infection but one eye remained droopy he left me with scars on my eyelids sutures in and told me that he would have to redo the left eye and that I would have to pay out of pocket now. That was in 2007, I had gone to numerous dr and had a dr fix the right eye as the scar tissue was painful I have yet to get the left eye corrected because honestly I’m afraid after what he had done to me. I tried getting compensation but because you can’t see what he did inside without going in again I have lived with poor vision and an eyelid that droops horribly. He pretty much disfigured me I assume this has happened to quite a few people after me but I was never able to get anyone to help me with this

Dr. Goyal was just indicted for $8 million in overbilling fraud. He intimidated employees to go along with the scheme, and sent collection agents after patients that didn't pay the inflated charges. In my experience he ordered unnecessary tests but I am fortunate he didn't do worse than that. Of course now I don't trust that the work he did was necessary. Hopefully he will pay up and stop practicing.

Developed contact bletharitus conjunctivitis. One eye worse than other. Mucus discharge all day and eyes glued together in AM. He was insulting, condescending and dismissive. Told me it was “me,” what that was supposed to mean I have no idea. While still under Dr Goyle’s care I found a very understanding Doctor who agreed to see me just to direct me to right care. Took one look at me and knew what it was immediately. He sent me to s specialist and I have been seeing both these Doctors since. That was 5 years ago. Goyle did a terrible job on my eyelids (which I didn’t go to see him for originally) and I will need corrective surgery soon enough.

I had eye surgery w/ Dr. Goyal and did not have a good experience nor good outcome. This was in 2016 and my eyes are still not right. His anesthesia people are not good and I had a problem with one arm for over a month. I went to fix droopy lids and they are worse than ever. My eyes tear all the time. My only regret is that I did not sue him!!!!

I am so glad my optometrist recommended Dr. Goyal for my cataract surgery. I highly recommend him also. Dr. Goyal is an excellent doctor. He is very kind and I felt comfortable and confident throughout the procedures. His office staff is very friendly and professional as were the nurses at the Leona Helmsley Surgical Center. I am very thankful for the great experience I had!

The staff in his office and at the Eye Center are friendly, professional, and pleasant. My only concern was that I wish I had know more informational about what to expect after the surgery and the length of recovery.

Dr, Goyal treated me for a cyst on my eyelid. He performed plastic surgery on my eye and removed the cyst. The results were excellent. He is professional, highly skilled and has an excellent 'bedside' manner and made me feel very comfortable with the procedure. He took his time and explained everything in detail. His staff is also wonderful, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Goyal.

Dr. Goyal is one of the most professional and honest doctors I have seen. He explained gently and personally my options for my eye problem. Most people would not even tell their friends and family that theyâ??d had cosmetic eye surgery, but I cannot stop telling everyone about it. My right eye especially looked so droopy that I thought I resembled a Cyclops. Now I look great and feel wonderful. Everyone who sees me canâ??t get over how fantastic my eyes look. I would have this procedure again in a split second.Again, thank you very much for such a pleasant experience and for my new fantastic eyes. Also, the staff at Rye Eye Associates were equally wonderful to work with.

I was Dr. Goyal for ptosis in my right eye he quickly diagnosed my condition and stated that I needed surgery to repair the problem. I was scheduled the next month to have a blephroplasty, mullerectomy and levator muscle repair. Surgery was 45 minutes within a few weeks after the swelling went down I was seeing better and my ptosos was gone. After one month follow up he deemed that my left eye needed repair as well. Only a highly trained specialist could tell that my eyes were no longer symmetrical. So we schedule surgery for the left. Surgery less than a half hour. I had my stiches out today with outstanding success. I highly recommend Dr. Goyal. He and his staff are highly professional, dedicated and concerned for your medical issue.
