Dr. Amelia A. Gunter earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University, and completed her surgical residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX.

She is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Gunter knew she wanted to become a breast surgeon after her mother’s experience with breast cancer. She performs all aspects of breast surgery for cancers in the breast. I have had breast cancer twice and would only use Dr Gunter... now I have another abnormal mammogram and they want a surgical biopsy... my only choice would be Dr. Gunter!

First visit with her, but definitely using her for my mastectomy. Very professional, explains well and gave me the confidence for the surgery.

Such and nice and caring doctor and staff. Sad that one of her old employees Wendi has moved. However her new nurse Victoria is very kind and gets you in to see the doctor quickly. its such a nice feeling that Dr. Gunter will see you for multiple years when I have a breast cancer diagnosis, not many surgeons do that. I woud highly recommend her to anyone that has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She really does go above and beyond to help with a scary life changing event.

been going to Dr Gunter for a couple of years and they have always been nice and a great atmosphere. Dr Gunter and her assistant wendy have always been helpful when I have questions.

Dr. Gunter is a caring person she always makes me feel comfortable she is very thoural and and a great surgeon I would definitely recommend her

Ive been going here for years but will not be ruturning again. Dr. gunter seems to have lost all care for her job. her nurse wendie along with a few of the solis women have become unbearable to work with. she is just downright rude and tacky. i shouldnt have to deal with anymore stress than i already do. save youreself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Had issues with this Dr., went for biopsy, office was not communicative on what to expect, waited over an hour to see the Dr and then was referred to someone else to do the biopsy. Dr did not explain why this was done but to take my film and make an appointment down the road, after waiting almost 2 weeks and 1 hour in the waiting room, I left very disappointed and confused. Will not return. Ever.
