Dr. Amelia Prado, MD

I am a RN, and Dr. Prado has been my PCP for a few months now. She is the WORST doctor I have come across in my career or personal life. She is very angry and you will always leave her office feeling worse than when you came in, in every way. She thinks she knows more than specialists such as GI docs and Cardiologists! She does not follow guidelines for medical treatment, but rather comes up with her own ideas about things. She does not review your chart before seeing you and just makes stuff up as she goes. She documents untrue things in the patient chart AND documents things that she does not even check. She will actually get into a screaming match with you and will provoke you into it. All of her 1-star reviews are true. UCHealth looks bad when it comes to Dr. Amelia Prado, MD.

Horrible ! She doesn't know how to communicate about sensitive situations , life is life mentality get on with it. Not a fan

She is my boyfriend's primary care doctor and it is impossible to get her to fill a monthly Rx that he needs to take daily. It has created multiple inconveniences when we are leaving to go out of town, which we do often as we travel for work. Don't understand how you can be a Primary Care doctor with patients who have monthly Rx needs and not have a schedule to refill as needed.. seems like a simple task the office should have systems set up for..

Dr. Prado was very rude and short with me every time I came in for an appointment. I felt she ordered very unnecessary tests because I had full medical coverage. I asked for a letter to clear me for work after extensive amounts of testing. The letter she provided me with was full of unnecessary information about my medical history and when I asked her to remove it she said she couldn't. Her assistant seemed very confused that it was even in the letter. I felt like my HIPPA rights were violated!

She takes her time to help you and finds out the what is going on with her patients. Very knowledgeable and educated.

Terrible experience. I agree with the last comment. It is very hard getting a appointment with any of the doctors in the medical group! Appointment was cancelled 3 times! It was ridiculous and a waste of time. If you can get another doctor I would definitely recommend doing so.

Dr. Prado was not a doctor I would want again. My insurance selected her as my primary and I will be changing after just one visit. Very poor bedside manor and was a complete waste of time.
