Dr. Amer Ali Mukred Ibrahim, MD

Over the years, the few pharmacists I consulted expressed their frustrations about working with him. He genuinely seems indifferent. Initially, I appreciated my visits due to his student, but once their training concluded, I was left to deal with him. He played a significant role in my growing distrust of the healthcare system. To him, I felt like just another file number, and that’s exactly how he treated me. I remained his patient for about seven to eight years, disliking every moment, but I hesitated to seek a new provider since he was already my third doctor, assigned to me after previous doctors I actually liked had left. One of the first actions he took when I became his patient was to reduce my dosage, even though the medication regimen was effective. I was doing exceptionally well, but under his care, I've never felt so depressed, despite my diagnosis remaining the same. On one occasion, he scolded me for running out of my medication for just 20 minutes. I left that… appointment in tears. Later that day, I spoke with the pharmacist, who was unsurprised by his behavior. After eight years on this medication, I was reprimanded for that single instance. Now that I am pregnant and no longer taking any medications, I feel the need to report the actions of this terrible doctor. And don’t even get me started on his nurse.

He literally saved my life when I moved from another city. I was overmedicated and needed to get off some older meds, according to Mayo Clinic. I had debilitating hand tremors and rapid cycling bipolar depression. But Dr. Ibrahim made med changes and offered professional counsel about medication and lifestyle changes that literally gave me my life back. I will continue to put full trust in him!

Dr. Ibrahim always listened to my concerns and was never dismissive, he was always willing to discuss a variety of possible solutions and allow me to choose what worked best for me. He was thorough in his approach and addressed multiple aspects of my professional and personal life.

Finally a realistic doctor that actually listens and considers your opinions on which way to move forward with treatment plan. At the same time he knows which treatment options are not able to be considered and tells you right away if something your thinking doesn’t fit in as a way that would benefit you. I’ve had 3 different psychiatrists and he is the only one to give me an opinion and options for what to do next. He was willing to see me more often if I was feeling like I needed to see him. When I call and say I’m really struggling he will do his best to get me in quickly so we can figure out what to do. Dr. Ibrahim treated me the last few months of my pregnancy as my other psychiatrist retired. He was knowledgeable about the medications in pregnancy. When I explained how I suffer very badly with postpartum depression my last pregnancy he understood how important it was to have a plan ready and reassured me he’d be there to help me through. I did end up with bad postpartum… depression but like he assured me him and his nurse, Melissa were right there every step of the way. Dr. Ibrahim actually cares about his patients and wants to see them reach their full potential in life even with mental illness affecting life. I can’t recommend this doctor enough if you are struggling to find a psychiatrist to help you.

Dr. Ibrahim is a fantastic doctor. I've been seeing him for about a year and a half and highly recommend him.

I wanted to write a review of my doctor. He really is one of the very few doctors whom still care about their patients. I have seen him for about a year and he helped me with dealing with the troubles with my daughter. Things are better and I really wanted everyone out there to know he is an awesome doctor. I’ve been in healthcare as a nurse for over 13 years. I have seen a lot of doctors on how they treat their patients. Many doctors don’t really listen to the patients and are quick to move on to the next patient. Granted, I understand, these days’ doctors have so many patients they just don’t have the time to really focus and give the care and attention to the patients like they should. However, Dr. Amer Ibrahim is a GREAT doctor he will actually listen and hear you. He is a very professional and caring doctor. If you are looking for this kind of doctor then look no further. Doctors would be better off if they modeled their practice after Dr. Amer Ibrahim.

Optimism can be very difficult to have and find when dealing with major depression. Dr. Ibrahim listened to my worries, concerns and needs related to my condition. Past experiences with mental health professionals has left me with a sense of distrust and very little hope in overcoming the effects of depression and now I'm an advocate and enjoy showing that there really is hope. Dr. Ibrahim by far restored my trust and optimism. He may not have invented the treatments that contributed to my new sense of well being, but he has the high level experience and knowledge needed to see what works best for me as an individual and for that, I'm living a better quality of life.

He is very young and just graduated. I.started seeing him after dr Hund left. My only concern is that he will lax into that audo pilet mode where you feel as if uour an object instead of a real person. He isnt cocky at all.
