Dr. Amer Suleman, MD

Just had my first virtual appointment today. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Suleman appears to be a cut to the chase doctor and that’s great with me. He called me bossy and it was very fitting for my driver personality. I decided to go through and read his reviews and I honestly almost wet myself laughing at some of them. The number of thin skinned snowflakes in this world astounds me! I for one can’t wait for all the testing to get answers and I don’t care how rude or condescending he may be if I can finally get diagnosed and treatment!

With a few minor exceptions I have found that most of his staff is abrasive or apathetic toward patients. They just don't care what you need. Dr. Suleman was able to give me answers that I had previously not been able to get, I've been very frustrated with the process. If you can get past his office staff, he is worth the looooong wait to see him. I do have a problem with his staff not returning phone calls and acting in an EXTREMELY unprofessional manner when I finally get in touch with them. I have had an appointment (not my new patient appointment either) take 4 or 5 hours because of the waiting. So be prepared to wait a long time, be prepared for medical assistants and office staff that could care less about you, but Dr. Suleman IS worth waiting to see. He is a leading expert in his field and he will get you answers if you give him a chance. I have to say that there are a few exceptions to this rule, Natasha is professional and helpful for one, and she was actually really… pleasant to speak with. So if you think you may have POTS or EDS I'd say go see him. Just bring a book, a video game, some kind of busy work and be prepared to wait.

My step daughter has CTE and Potts and she will have a confirmed appointment but yet he makes you wait hours on hours before he sees you, worst Dr. ever

My daughter was in bed for two years and could not attend school. Yes, Dr. Suleman will order many tests. Yes, there may be a wait sometimes. If you stick with it, every one of those tests is a data point for this genius. Dr. Suleman is brilliant. He will review all of the possible causes, even if you think you know why you are there. Stay the course. Today, our teen is attending school full time and excelling in every AP class. Without Dr. Suleman, she would most likely be on a feeding tube in the hospital by now. We cancelled the Mayo Clinic. She is in the best of care.

Went to an appointment for POTS for advice until I could have MTS fixed. Learned nothing and was told that I need to be testing for heart disorders, seizure disorders, etc for no reason. When I made the appointment I told them POTS started with MTS/severe blood clot so they knew that was the cause. Kept saying I had NCS even though the report they had in their hands said I didn’t. Waited over an hour and a half just to get to the room, 2 people that got there after me were done with their appointment before I even went back to my room. Dr seemed indifferent/rude when I asked for time to think about making another appointment to test for stuff I know I don’t have.

He’s very smart around POTS and also very specialized. He has a terrible staff when it comes to how they treat patients. Not just me but most likely you’ll feel like a huge burden after having to communicate with anyone besides his Medical Assistant. She’s really kind, but everyone else feels like they hate you. It’s not just you, don’t worry about it. If you need the medical help, he’s worth it.
