Dr. Ameya Save, MD

Dr. Ameya Save is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Save treats the full spectrum of injuries and conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. He has additional expertise in the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries. He is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to help patients get back to the activities that matter most to them. Dr. Save received his medical education at the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Yale- New Haven Hospital, followed by a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at HSS. Dr. Save has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and has presented his work at regional, national, and international conferences. He serves as the research director for the HSS Hand and Upper Extremity Service. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).
