Dr. Ami Dalal Acharya, MD

I have been under the care of Dr. Acharya, my gynecologist, for nearly twenty years. Throughout this time, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional clinical judgment. In early 2026, she was my surgeon for a total hysterectomy following the detection of low-grade endometrial cancer. The procedure was highly successful: all cancerous tissue was removed, and no further treatment will be required. I am confident that Dr. Acharya’s extensive experience in gynecologic surgery played a critical role in this excellent outcome. I am deeply grateful for her expertise, skill, and compassionate bedside manner.

Dr. Acharya is a wonderful and supportive Gyn. She is intelligent, logical, gives all the recommended guidelines and options. When I needed her reassurance, she lovingly held my hand before she performed my surgery. I will never forget that. Generations is great and reliable Obgyn practice overall. They delivered both my beautiful sons and I have been going to this practice for most of my adult life for my reproductive health screenings and needs.

My MIL has been a gyn patient with Dr. Ami Acharya for many years. The office staff is very pleasant, respectful and accommodating, Dr. Acharya is very gentle with her exams and very good educator and communicator, I really appreciate that she talks slowly and directly to my MIL who speaks limited English, but feels respected as a retired MD herself We are very happy to be in her care and appreciate the flexibility of multiple offices so I can take her to any office based on my work schedule

I saw Dr. Achayra for the first time and I was very uncomfortable with how she treated me. She performed a pap-smear and was so rough that I bled, which has never happened to me in 16 years of seeing a OBGYN. When I asked her why I was bleeding she looked at me like I had three heads and condescendingly said “that’s normal”. I cleaned myself up and then went into her office and told her about a procedure I had and asked her about my options for birth control and she spoke to me like I was less then and unintelligent. I was so upset with my experience that I now prefer to just go to Planned Parenthood on Whitney Ave. where the doctors take their time and never judge you. The staff at Dr. Achayra’s were really nice but I can tell that she treats them badly as well from simply observing from the waiting room. Overall, I would not recommend her as a OBGYN unless you want to be judged and made to feel like your inhuman.

Dr, Acharya is superb. She is very knowledgeable and caring and gives very detailed explanations about medicine she prescribes and procedures that she recommends. I never feel rushed and always feel that she has a genuine personal interest in my well-being. In addition, her nurse, Mary, is very prompt in responding to any queries.

As soon as the Dr. walked into the room and looked at me, I saw the look on her face as if I was not the type of person she was expecting. The rest of the visit was progressively worse. She was rude and talked down to me the entire time and essentially told me that my problem was in my head. I left in tears after the worst examination ever. Terrible experience!

I love this Doctor she is amazing and she spends the necessary time with you and explains everything to you. She did a couple of procedures for me in the office as well as an outpt procedure and she did an amazing job. She is highly recommended. She fixed both of my problems and she continues to be my ob/gyn
