Dr. Amie Alvarez Malihan, MD

I asked a friend for a recommendation for a cosmetic surgeon because she has long been a striking beauty - now old enough for fading but hadn’t at all! I was concerned that it was too personal a request as she’d never disclosed having any procedures. She told me to see Dr. Malihan, and laughed saying almost every one of the women we’d recently been together with at a private event also was treated by her. I was delighted by the doctor’s friendliness, interest and understanding of my goals. She explains different options, is completely low key, doesn’t pressure any choices or spending. Her experience and credentials are stellar, so I felt confident in choosing her to do 6 procedures over as many years, some more invasive than others. All very successful and natural looking. She’s accessible by phone for questions, kind and creates a personal rapport with her patients.

I gave Malihan almost 10K to remove the bags under my eyes, wrinkles around my eyes and forehead and to remove 3 scars on my forehead. Instead, she created numerous permanent scars going across my entire forehead that are still red 20 months later. She is Dr. Frankenstein and the most incompetent professional I ever met. Further, her bookkeeper who has no medical training whatsoever assist her in surgical procedures in her office that is NOT equipped to be a surgical theater. Unless you want to be scared for life go some where else.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They accidentally hit my tattoo with the laser. My tattoo is damaged and the skin around that area is a different color and damaged as well. It was over a month long painful healing process. The doctor said it would be fine, I left pictures for her and she never even followed up. This was a completely avoidable mistake, if the technician had just been more careful. She originally told me she was sorry and that it would heal normally. It never healed, I was finally able to get in touch with her and explained the tattoo is ruined, since I share the tattoo with my sisters and spoke to a tattoo artist that explained that we could not correct it but could redo it on my other wrist and cover this one up. I asked her to pay for the cost, which I thought was fair, since she did leave a permanent scar on my body, never refunded me for the treatment and the cost to correct it was only about 150-180. She then took back her earlier apologies and said that maybe this was… caused by a bug bite or hot oil??? Even though when it first happened the skin around the tattoo was in tact and the tattoo itself was raised and swollen, only a laser could do that. When I explained that to her, she said to speak to her lawyer then and hung up on me. I have a scar because of incompetence and the woman is a liar

I've been a repeat patient of Dr. Malihan's for decades now. After several surgeries, a couple of lasers, and the usual maintenance, I can honestly say I've never felt so beautiful. I look refreshed, and people can't figure out "what it is" about me that looks radiant. Listen, aging is rarely graceful. If you can delay it and maintain what God gave you, why not? I'd recommend her to anyone who is listening for a down-to-Earth board-certified plastic surgeon who actually KNOWS what she's doing. Love her, love her office, love her staff. She's the best! PS. Dr. Amie is at her peak punctuality in the afternoon - so try to book 12pm and later.

I started going to Dr Malihan over 15 years ago. She has treated my acne scars, wrinkles, and eyelids. She had removed body hair, spider veins, and tightened my skin. I have beautiful, smooth skin and I've aged gracefully. I've brought my children to Dr. Malihan, as well as friends and other family. She's the best at what she does, and I'll trust her with anything I need.

The only thing I am sorry about is WAITING to come to Dr Malihans office! Her staff is so helpful, knowledgeable, and sweet, and the Dr does PHENOMENAL work. I have referred 4 of my gfs to her, and they are all as ecstatic as I am. We haven't looked this good since we were in college!

I am so happy with my decision to have Dr. Malihan remove my ruptured breast implants. Dr. Malihan is a highly skilled and talented surgeon. I am impressed with her bedside manner and gentle, kind caring way. Not to sound sexist but... you would not receive this level of caring and concern from a male pratitioner, I am sure of that!
