Dr. Amir Mojaver

A San Diego native, Dr. Mojaver completed all of his formative educational years in San Diego. As a graduate of UC San Diego, he completed a B.S. in Physiology and Neurosciences and a B.A. in Sociology with honors. From there, it was off to Boston, MA where he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, one of the top ranked institutions in America, and attained his D.M.D. degree.
Why Dentistry?
Coming from a family of physicians and dentists, there was always an inherent desire for Dr. Mojaver to participate in the healthcare profession. To be able to improve the overall health and self perception of people provides him with great satisfaction and self fulfillment. Moreover, the ability to transform someone’s life—by changing their smile, their ability to enjoy food, and relieving chronic pain/headaches related to TMJ disorders—makes this profession rewarding to Dr. Mojaver on an every day basis.
Continuing Education:
Dr. Mojaver has further distinguished himself by …not settling for good, in fact one of his favorite quotes is that “good is the enemy of great”. With this in mind, he has expounded upon the solid educational foundation by participating in countless hours of continuing education. From a one year residency in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry, courses at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and membership in the prestigious San Diego Advanced Study Club (A Seattle Study Club), he has amassed countless hours of continuing education courses in the fields of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

FOR FUN!
Dr. Mojaver enjoys the great outdoors: You can see him running around Torrey Pines National Park or climbing the snow covered peaks of Mt. Shasta, Mt. Whitney or the Middle Palisades! Traveling is also a passion, having been to such destinations as Africa (to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro), India, Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Domenican Republic, and all over Europe. Up and coming trips on the wish list include: The Inca Trail in Machu Pichu, Brazil, the Far East, and hiking Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina.
