Dr. Masoumi completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where he was elected chief fellow, followed by advanced training in heart failure, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support, as well as interventional cardiology, also at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia.
Dr. Masoumi believes in a dedicated multidisciplinary approach to patient care, particularly for advanced heart failure and complex coronary disease. He has developed particular expertise in interventional heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. Involved in numerous ongoing research protocols, his work focuses on improving the survival of patients with cardiogenic shock.
