WORST rheumatology experience Ive ever had. This man set me back YEARS in my search for treatment/diagnosis. Avoid at ALL COSTS. | He also will tell you one thing, then write the complete opposite in your chart! Im currently trying to figure out how to correct the inaccurate notes he put in my chart at VM Rheumatology. I came in for some new symptoms, and wrote in my chart notes that I came in for some other reason & had NONE of the symptoms I came in for! I think he might have mixed me up with another patient? May other reviewerss online state that he has put false info in their charts too, this is not an isolated occurrence. He also was extremely rushed, didnt let me talk, didnt listen to me, and then never concluded the appointment. I sat there for 10 minutes thinking he was coming back, nope - he just walked out and left me hanging. He also verbally told me to keep getting checked for this specific antibody annually. This is consistent with another rheumatologist's opinion, to… check it annually to make sure it isnt a false positive. I have had low positive results for it twice now. I have symptoms of this specific disease, that are worsening. He straight up told me that he 'doesnt believe the lab results' even though they re-tested it under a different method to confirm it wasnt a false positive! He then said casually 'keep checking it annually, it's likely false positives' then wrote in my chart notes to NEVER test it again! In my chart notes, he wrote that he told me that he said he told me to STOP testing for it, when verbally he told me to get it checked annually. Avoid this doctor at ALL COSTS. Do not waste your time, he will tell you one thing then write the opposite in your chart. I thought Virginia Mason was a highly regarded Rheumatology practice, but if this is one of their leading doctors? RUN!!!?!!! I wanted to keep all of my care with VM, but if this is how things are starting off - I will not be coming back.

Dr. Dave seems more intelligent and more compassionate than my previous rheumatologist [...]. A great change, not just because his visits are here on Bainbridge!
